The Waukesha County Federated Library System, of which the Town Hall Library in North Lake is a member, is expanding to include the libraries of Jefferson County! We are adding 8 new members: Fort Atkinson, Jefferson, Johnson Creek, Lake Mills, Palmyra, Waterloo, Watertown & Whitewater. With these libraries we will form the new "Bridges Library System."
Sometimes change or growth can be intimidating or anxiety-producing, but not this! Along with our new member libraries will come additional library materials to check out and new resources upon which we can draw.
We will have a mini-shut down of services from Wednesday, December 2 through Thursday, December 10 in order to update our catalog system to include all the items from those libraries. Our library will be closed on Friday, December 11 to allow us to check in all the materials that get returned during that period.
Users will not be able to login to accounts, view the online catalog from home or the library, renew materials, pay fines or place holds. The staff will be unable to do any of these actions as well.
Patrons may still visit us and check out items, use our public computers (just ask at the desk for a guest pass), and use our Wi-Fi. All our regular programs will continue to be offered as usual.
So do stop in!
