The Friends of the Town Hall Library Award Scholarship

The Friends of the Town Hall Library awarded a scholarship to Matt Amenda, a former library employee at Town Hall Library, to pursue his Master’s degree in Library and Information Studies at University College Dublin, in Dublin, Ireland.

The $3,000 scholarship was awarded in recognition of service to the Library by Cheryl Schoenhaar, former Town Hall Library Director.

Become a Friend of the Town Hall Library!

Join more than 150 volunteers who sponsor our annual May Banquet, used book sales, local history lectures, candidate forums, author programs, staff gifts, and the Leitgabel Herb Garden. The Friends also maintain “Buy the Book,” a used book room located in the Library. Funds from used book sales are used to sponsor library programs and purchase items for the library.

Please note that donations of textbooks, VHS tapes or books that smell of mold or smoke cannot be accepted. Donations of clean, gently used fiction or non-fiction books are gratefully accepted. If there is a question of acceptability, please contact the Library Director at kiyengar@townhall.lib.wi.us for clarification before driving to the Library with your donation.

Town Hall Library Foundation

The mission of the Towh Hall Library Foundation is to act as a fund raising entity of the Town Hall Library. The Foundation will provide ongoing financial support and management of these funds for capital expenditures and projects as the foundation may direct.

Initially, the Town Hall Library Foundation was formed in 2007 to provide major support for the expansion and renovation of the Library which was completed in 2009. The Foundation supports purchases and projects hat are vital and enrich our Town Hall Library community, but are beyond the scope of the Library budget.

There are many ways for you to donate monetarily to the Town Hall Library.

  • Town Hall Library is in need of some extensive repairs to its front entrance doors, wheelchair ramp and foundation. Click here for more information.
