We are honoring our men and women who have served our country throughout the 20th century, during times of war and times of peace.
Please consider attending one of our "memorial month" programs . . . we have a personal "journal" of WW1 written through letters home. We have a daughter tracing her father's footsteps when he was shot down in France during WW2 and needed to make his way to safety. "Eleanor Roosevelt", as portrayed by Jessica Michna, will allow us a peek at her life as First Lady during WW2. Share in the reminiscences of a recent Honor Flight taken by a Korean War veteran. Then walk with a retired Lt. Col., a career Marine, with a long family history of military service and his own time serving in Desert Storm and Afghanistan.
Each of these programs should be an interesting and personal look at the military, war, and experiences of U.S. veterans.
Veterans and their families are invited to stop in on Saturday, May 10th between 10 a.m. and 12 noon for a piece of cake and coffee or water, as our way of saying "thank you for your service!"
Be sure to spend some time examining the pictures of the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight Traveling Art Gallery, which is on loan to us from May 11-31.
Let us "remember, respect, and honor" during this month of May!
