Summer Library Reading Program!

We are one week in for our Summer Library Reading Program! Our far-out theme this year is "A Universe of Stories."

We have 3 different age-appropriate programs for children and t(w)eens: Children ages 0 - 5 years (non-readers), Kids ages 5 - 11 years (readers) and T(w)eens ages 11 - 17 years. Sign up at the Youth Services desk (lower level) and pick up a new activity slip each week. When completed, bring these back to get fun incentives! All incentives must be redeemed by Wednesday, July 31.

Be sure to pick up the Summer Events calendar so you know all the fun stuff happening here at the library. Get these events marked on your home calendar for our Family Programs, Artemis Fowl book club for kids, story times for babies and children, as well as Tales from Around the World, Munch & a Movie for kids, and of course, Touch-A-Truck on Saturday, July 20 - fun for all ages! T(w)eens can participate in fun activities, just check at the Youth Services desk.

Adults, you are not forgotten! Grab a BINGO card and begin doing the activities listed. Each BINGO earns you a gift card for a FREE book from the "Buy the Book" room. Earn as many BINGOs as you can!

Summers are busy, but make time to put the Library on your schedule. There are so many benefits: wonderful books, DVDs and CDs to check out, cheap finds in the "Buy the Book" room, magazines and newspapers to read without a subscription, computers and printers and copiers to use, fun programs for all ages, helping kids improve their reading skills, and great family togetherness time!

Blast off into a season of summer pleasure!
