New Year's Resolutions

As the New Year approaches, we begin thinking about all the ways we want to change or improve aspects of our lives. We consider our appearance - do we need to lose weight? Get a new hair style or color? Step up our wardrobe or makeup? How about our job - how can we give a better performance, strengthen our skills, or do we just need a new one? How about our homes - is this the year we organize it? Thoroughly clean it? Redecorate? And don't forgot our health, be it physical, mental, emotional or spiritual ... there are so many things we need to work on that we can become overwhelmed.

So I thought about all the failed resolutions over the years of my life. I decided this year would be the year of success, because I would only make resolutions that I know I can keep! So after some consideration, here is my list:

I resolve to spend more time with my family and friends.

I resolve to stop worrying about fixing up aspects of my life and concentrate on LIVING it.

I resolve to try new things - new foods, new clothing styles and accessories, new activities, while enjoying time with friends and family.

I resolve to continue reading as much as possible, well, I DO WORK AT A LIBRARY!

And I resolve to "write 2017 instead of 2016".

With resolutions like this, I know this will be the year that I keep them!
