Summer Library Reading Program

The days are getting warmer and longer; summer will soon be here! And so will our Summer Library Reading Program!

Sign up begins on Friday, June 9 in the Lower Level for our program, themed "Build a Better World." Stop in at the desk to fill out the form for children through ages 17. There are fun activities for all ages and for the whole family!

On certain Sundays there will be family-friendly movies and on June 11 we will host an American Girl Tea Party featuring one of the authors of the popular American Girl books!

On Mondays, kids may turn in their reading records for prizes and pick up new slips for the week. T(w)eens will have fun activities to do and new buildable projects will be available.

Tuesdays we offer our Story Time Plus (stories and snack and craft!) and our Pajama Story Time.

Wednesdays we feature our Family Programs with special guests. On 2nd Wednesdays of each summer month there will be a Summer Serenade concert across the street on the lawn of Perren Photography.

Thursdays we have our Baby Story Time, and replays of our Sunday Family Movies are shown on Friday mornings.

Other special events include a monthly Minute 2 Win It and Touch-A-Truck on Saturday, July 22. We also will reprise our bookmark design contest so pick up that form at the Lower Level desk as well.

We will end our Summer Library Reading Program on July 31, so we can begin gearing up for fall programming. Please check the calendar for all events as most are not every week. Remember, we will be closed on Sundays in August.

When you plan your summer activities, please check our SLRP calendar for the ones that interest you! (These are available at both the main and lower level desks.) Happy Summer!
