Town Hall Library Art Collection
Exhibition spaces in the Town Hall Library provide local artists a place to have their work appreciated by patrons and staff. Our rotating art wall and display cases feature a different artist each month while permanent art can be found throughout the library.

Art by NCS
The artwork currently on display on the Town Hall Library art wall is by the artist “Art by NCS.”
Here’s what this artist shares about her work:
Every piece of artwork has a story and experience to tell. Share the moment with me and take a journey with every brushstroke. Capture that moment when seeing the art for the first time. Some are painted in a series and others with a passion for each individual inspiration.
Although I prefer acrylic because it is so forgiving, I also delve into watercolor, alcohol ink/airbrush, sumi-e Japanese technique and brusho. Painting mostly on canvas, I find on occasion to use wood, mat, rattan and rice paper to keep things interesting. I paint what catches my emotion at the time with a variety of subject matter to choose from like animals, birds, flowers, landscaping, Africa, angels and pressed flower art.
I am an active member and showing at DCCA (Dodge County Center for the Arts), a former board member of the Fond du Lac Artists Association with a showing at the Langdon Divers Gallery and accepting an ‘Artist of the Year’ award, a member participant of MOWA (Museum of Wisconsin Art), a member and showing at CAM (Cedarburg Art Museum), participant of CCC (Cedarburg Cultural Center), participant of the WRAP Show(Wisconsin Reginal Art Program) at the Thelma Center for the Arts in Fond du Lac, along with Tiny Treasures at AWA (Association of Wisconsin Artists) and a solo exhibition last summer at Waupun Fine Art Library.
Art by NCS has had recent art displays in Mayville, Beaver Dam, and Waupun, Wisconsin. She also has a continuous exhibit at the Dodge County Center for the Arts (DCCA) in Beaver Dam.

Interested in displaying your art?
The criteria by which exhibits are approved include:
- Content that complements the mission and service philosophy of the Library
- Subject, technique, and style suitable for the intended audience
- Artistic expression
- Historical or regional relevance
- Relationship to other events or exhibits in the community or the library
- Ability to display in designated areas and space allowances; and
- Significance of the contributor.
Displays intended to further a political agenda will not be permitted. The opportunity to exhibit work at the Town Hall Library is open to any artist living in Wisconsin. Preference is given first to Waukesha County residents and, in particular, those who live in the Town of Merton. Artists interested in having their work displayed should visit the Library to determine if their work is a good match for the space available.

Permanent Art
The Town Hall Library features permanent displays of art with an emphasis on local talent. Artwork is researched, selected, and purchased with input from a volunteer Art Committee using donations from the community.
